Welcome to the PCI Price Forecasting Service website. This service is based on Francis Galton’s observation in 1906 that the knowledge and intellect of a group is consistently better than that of individuals, even experts. This website is the meeting place of an interactive community in which individual members submit their personal views of future price movements for a series of commodities and chemicals, and PCI collates and analyses these responses, before returning the aggregate result to the individual members of the group. All of this is done anonymously. The strength of this concept lies in the diversity of its participating members, who represent a broad range of products, industries, geographies, backgrounds and cultures. By melding together this unique mixture of perspectives we believe that we can gain true insights into the future price movements of a variety of key commodities and chemical intermediates. PCI does not believe that it alone can see into the future. But it does believe that together we can. |
